Heavy Snow Blankets Region Causing Poor Driving Conditions

From bitter cold to milder with heavy snowy, local drivers can't seem to get a break.

Another 5-10 cm of heavy wet snow is forecast through the day on Monday. That's on top of an estimated 10 cm that fell overnight.

A southwest wind gusting 40-60 km/h in some areas will produce blowing and drifting snow. Visibility can suddenly be reduced.

Major routes are snow-covered, snow-packed and slushy. Secondary roads are snow-covered, with slippery and drifted sections.  Visibility is poor at times.

Almost every school bus in Huron, Perth, Bruce and Grey counties was cancelled this morning because of the hazardous driving conditions.  Many schools closed for the day.
