Truck Theft Leads Officers To Other Stolen Vehicles

A man and a woman are facing charges after two stolen snowmobiles and a stolen truck were recovered at a North Huron home.

The Ontario Provincial Police say on January 3, an Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh resident reported that her Chevrolet Avalanche pickup truck had been stolen from her Blyth Rd. residence.

Officers were able to track the vehicle to a residence on Currie Line in North Huron, and were granted permission to search the property.

The stolen truck was located by the officers, along with a stolen Arctic Cat snowmobile, a stolen Polaris snowmobile, a stolen Easy Hauler snowmobile trailer and some stolen vehicle documents.

As a result, police have since arrested and charged 24-year-old Scott Adamson Huron-Kinloss with six counts of possession of property obtained by crime and one count of failing to comply with a recognizance.

A 22-year-old from Guelph, Ashley Lauzon, has also been charged with six counts of possession of property obtained by crime.
