Flash Freeze Today And Icy Roads

Weather and driving conditions are changing quickly on Friday. Temperatures dropped in the morning with the passage of a cold front, and rain changed to freezing rain and snow.

Many school buses were cancelled across Bruce, Grey and Huron-Perth counties.

A flash freeze warning has been issued because of the rapid drop in temperature. Extra care should be taken when driving or walking.

Predicted snowfall amounts are not significant, but there could be several hours of blowing snow because of the strong north-northwest wind.

Cold weather is forecast for the weekend, but with sunny periods and only light snowfall.
