OHL Wrap: Struthers Leads Battalion to Rally over Owen Sound

North Bay 3 Owen Sound 2 (OT)

The Owen Sound Attack let a two goal lead slip and lost 3-2 to North Bay in overtime.

Brady Lyle scored both of the Attacks goals, one in the first period and one in the second period, to give Owen Sound a 2-0 lead heading into the third.

Riley Bruce put the Battalion on the board at 12:12 of the third period and former Owen Sound Attacker Matthew Struthers scored the equalizer less than a minute later.

Justin Brazeau had the game winner on the power play just 21 seconds into overtime.

Mack Guzda made 14 saves for the Attack. Julian Sime stopped 30 shots for the Battalion.

Peterborough 4 Guelph 2

Nikita Korostelev struck twice for Peterborough as the Petes beat Guelph 4-2.

The Storm got goals from Cedric Ralph and Cam Hillis.

Bobby Dow's power play goal with less than two minutes left in the second would stand as the game winner.

Anthony Popovich made 25 saves for the Storm. Dylan Wells stopped 44 shots for the Petes.

Kitchener 5 London 1

Logan Stanley scored two back-to-back goals in the first in the Kitchener Rangers' 5-1 win over London.

Mike Petizian, Givani Smith and Adam Mascherin also scored for Kitchener.

London's lone goal was courtesy of Cole Tymkin.

Mario Culina earned the win in net with 20 saves. Joseph Raaymakers stopped 27 shots for the Knights.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
