Public Meeting To Be Held On Proposed Changes At Dundalk Schools

The Bluewater District School Board is holding a public meeting Monday night regarding a proposed program revision at the two schools in Dundalk.

Board staff is proposing that the Grade 3 program at Dundalk and Proton Community School be moved to Highpoint Community School, which is currently Grade 4 to 8.

Dundalk and Proton Community School would become a Junior Kindergarten to Grade 2 facility, while Highpoint Community School would accommodate Grade 3 to 8 students.

The change is to ensure adequate student spaces are available to meet the projected future growth in the Dundalk area. It would take effect at the beginning of the 2018-2019 school year.

Monday night's meeting at Highpoint Community School starts at 7pm.
