Conners Tied for 42nd After 1st Round of Career Builder Challenge

Listowel's Corey Conners is tied for 42nd along with fellow Canadian Nick Taylor after the opening round of the CareerBuilder Challenge in LaQuinta, California. Conners played his 18 holes on the Nicklaus Tournament Course shooting a 4-under 68.

Adam Hadwin is the low Canadian at 6-under 66 and tied for 15th. He also played the Nicklaus Tournament Course.

Jon Rahm of Spain is alone atop the leaderboard at 10-under 62. He played his round at the LaQuinta Country Club.

Conners tees off at 1:00 this afternoon (EST).

In all there are seven Canadians in the field including David Hearn, Mac Hughes, Nick Taylor, Ben Silvermen, and Mike Weir.

Bright's Grove native Weir is tied for 141st place at 2-over 74.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
