Petition Launched To Retain Wingham Police Service

A petition has been launched to gather support for keeping the Wingham Police Service in town, instead of contracting with the OPP.

Christine McGrath says she launched the petition yesterday because she believes it is important to have a police presence in the community, especially with the schools and hospital located in Wingham.

She is also concerned that the OPP will only have an office in the community for two years.

It is available at Christine's Clothes Closet, House of Bloom and Foxton Fuels.
