PJHL Wrap: Patriots Can't Beat Laviolette

Hunter Robins-Gibbons scored midway through the first and that would be all the offense the Bulldogs would need as Kincardine edged Goderich 1-0.

Ethan Primeau earned the shut out with 32 saves.

Brandon Bean stopped 28 shots for the Flyers.

Mitchell 2 Mount Forest 1 (OT)

Blake Pickering scored just a 1:32 into overtime to give Mitchell a 2-1 win over Mount Forest.

Dawson Bolger opened the scoring for the Patriots midway through the first period. Jarett Bogdon scored the equalizer with just over two minutes left in the opening frame.

Curtis Laviolette was a wall in net for Mitchell, making 55 saves. David Lobsinger stopped 20 shot for the Patriots.

Exeter 6 Mt. Brydges 3

Exeter led 4-0 by the midway point of the game and went on to beat Mt. Brydges 6-3.

Troy Kennedy struck twice for the Hawks. Christian Petrozza scored and set up two of the Hawks goals and Max Bannon and Nick Overholt each had a goal and an assist in the win.

Mike Vanden Eizen led the Bulldogs with a goal and an assist.

Dane Gubbels stopped 38 shots for the Hawks. Morgan Reed made 30 saves before being replaced by Logan Vermunt in the third who stopped 8 of 9 shots in relief.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
