UPDATE: Victim Identified In Crash In Southgate Early Monday

Grey County OPP say a 19-year-old West Grey woman lost her life in a single-vehicle collision near Holstein Monday morning.

Police say they were called to Southgate Side Rd. 41 around 4:17am and a driver was killed.

Investigators closed the road between Southgate Rd. 12 and Southgate Rd. 14, but it has now been reopened.

The investigation revealed that the pick-up truck was travelling northbound on Southgate Side Rd. 41. It struck a concrete bridge abutment before coming to rest in the east ditch.

Shylin Mossey was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem is scheduled for January 30, 2018, in Owen Sound.

Wellington County Emergency Services and the North Wellington Fire Department (Mount Forest) assisted OPP at the scene.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
