Southeast Grey Group Looking For More Used Skates

The Southeast Grey Skate Exchange is appealing for more skates.

As part of the Healthy Kids Community Challenge, the Southeast Grey Skate Exchange has been collecting and re-distributing skates for children, youth and adults in Grey Highlands, Chatsworth and Southgate.

To help replenish the skate exchange, skate donations can be dropped off at South East Grey Community Health Centre, arenas and municipal offices in the Chatsworth, Southgate and Grey Highlands, and the Foodland stores in Markdale and Dundalk.

"As a community, we have been able to support over 150 individuals of all ages in fitting a pair of skates so they can get out and take advantage of the community skate times. Unfortunately, our skate inventory is much smaller," says Allison Whitten, registered dietitian and Healthy Kids Community Challenge lead.
