Police say a man and a woman in a dark four-door car stopped to talk with the kids near the area of Elgin and Huron streets on Tuesday between 6pm and 6:40pm.
The man spoke with a thick accent.
The Perth County OPP is seeking any information regarding individuals and vehicles that may have been in this area at that time.
People in southern Huron and Lambton counties are being told to limit their time outside.
