HPHA Awarded By Gift Of Life Network

The Huron-Perth Healthcare Alliance has been recognized by the Trillium Gift of Life Network.

The Alliance was one of 11 hospitals or groups of hospitals that achieved a 100% routine notification rate for the second quarter of the 2017/2018 fiscal year.

HPHA CEO Andrew Williams says organ and tissue donations can be a sensitive issue when the opportunity presents itself but the Alliance has a commitment to making sure that Trillium Gift of Life Network is aware of potential donors and their team is very professional and engaging with patients and family members.

He adds the more visibility they can bring to the issue of donation the better it will be for people on the waiting list for donations. Williams suggests anyone interested in becoming a donor should go to the Trillium Gift of Life Network web and register there.

He says the website has a lot of information and will likely answer the questions most people are likely to have.
