Snowmobile Driver Charged Following West Perth Collision

A snowmobile collision in West Perth Sunday night has resulted in a criminal charge.

Police responded to the scene along Perth Line 19 for the single snowmobile crash. The driver was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Through the investigation, it was determined that the driver had been drinking.

A 27-year-old man from London was later charged with over 80 mg. His licence was suspended and he was released on a promise to appear in court.

The Perth County OPP and area snowmobile clubs are reminding riders that operating any vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs poses a serious and unnecessary risk to all.
