Funding Announced For Expanded Walkerton Child Care

The Ministry of Education has announced funding for an addition to St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic School in Walkerton.

The money will help expand the Child Care Centre.

The 4,400 sq ft addition will add to the facility that was built in 2014.

The $1.058-million from the Ministry of Education will fund construction of two additional classrooms to support a toddler room and a preschool room. The addition will create 39 additional spaces. Planning and construction will commence in 2018, with completion projected for 2019.
