Hawks Get a Win in PJHL Semifinal Series

Reid Simmons scored the game winner less than four-and-a-half minutes into the third period as the Walkerton Hawks beat Kincardine 3-2.

The Hawks still trail the PJHL semifinal series 2-1.

Neither team was able to score in the first period. Payton Dunlop put the Bulldogs on the board on the power play two-and-a-half minute into the second period. Quinton Maddock answered for the Hawks at 8:43 of the middle frame. Joshua Traynor tied the game with less than two minutes to go in the period.

Mathew Donnelly earned the win with 18 saves. Craig Luinstra stopped 22 shots for the Bulldogs.

Game 4 is tomorrow night at 7:45 p.m. at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
