Goderich Mayor Kevin Morrison announced at Wednesday's Huron County Council meeting his intention to seek a second term in this fall's municipal election.
"With the municipal elections coming up this year on October 22... I'm prepared to announce at this time that I will be seeking a second term as mayor of Goderich," said Morrison.
Morrison said he has been asked several times in the past few weeks what his intentions are so he decided to make the announcement. However, he added that he wouldn't elaborate further because the campaign period doesn't officially start until May.
