Clifford Prepares For Big Dig

Clifford is getting ready to have its main street dug up from one end to the other.

The $4.5-million project will start this spring and be complete by October.

A public meeting to explain the downtown project to Clifford residents is planned for March or April.

And it's going to be a busy road construction summer in the Clifford area. The province will also be repaving the highway between Clifford and Harriston.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
