Customer Pulls Knife In Grey County Business

Workers at a business in Georgian Bluffs called police after a man was acting erratically and waving an open pocket knife

Grey County Ontario Provincial Police responded to a commercial business located on Hwy. 6 and 21 at about 1:30pm Sunday afternoon.

The man was told to leave after he had banged on the counter several times using an open pocket knife while yelling at staff.

Police located a suspect walking a short distance away from the business where he turned a knife over to police.

A 33-year-old man from Owen Sound was arrested and charged with two counts of assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
