Hwy. 9 Work Might Go Through The Night

Construction on Hwy. 9 between Clifford and Harriston will include work through the night.

The MTO notified Minto of the plans but But Minto’s Chief Building Official, Terry Kuipers is concerned for the sleep loss due to noise by at least 27 homeowners along the highway who are as close as 24 ft from the road.

Minto agreed to allow the all-night work provided the effected residents agree in writing.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
