Two Charged After Body Found At Dornoch Property

Two men from Holland Township face charges in connection with the discovery of a body.

On Saturday, a number of OPP officers, including the West Region Emergency Response Team, a canine unit, and an OPP Unmanned Aerial Surveillance Unit were looking for a missing person and searching a property near the village of Dornoch.

A body was found on the property, but no name is being released until after the results of a post-mortem examination.

A 46-year-old Holland Township man has been charged with second-degree murder, indignity to a body, and possession of a weapon while prohibited.

A 22-year-old Holland Township man has been charged with indignity to a body and failing to comply with probation.

Both accused were held in custody.  This case is subject to a court-ordered publication ban, and no names have been released.

Members of the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit conducted a search in Bell's Lake in West Grey, as part of the investigation.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
