Motorcyclist Dies Following Crash In Centre Wellington

A motorcyclist has died after a serious crash in the Township of Centre Wellington.

The Ontario Provincial Police say on Wednesday shortly before 4pm, a four-door sedan and a motorcycle collided in the area of County Rd. 7 and Sideroad 4.

The male driver of the motorcycle suffered life threatening injuries and was pronounced dead after being rushed to a local hospital. His identity is being withheld until next of kin has been notified.

The driver of the car was not injured.

County Rd. 7 has been closed between First and Second Line and is expected to remain closed for several hours while an investigation takes place.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
