McFadden Scores to Lift Storm over Rangers in Game 4

Kincardine native Garrett McFadden scored the game winner late in the second to give Guelph a 6-4 victory over Kitchener. The Storm have now tied their first round OHL Playoff series 2-2.

Anthony Popovich stopped 39 shots to earn first star honours in the game.

The Storm were down 2-1 after the first period when Liam Hawel sparked a four goal rally at 1:35 of the second. Isaac Ratcliffe netted his second of the game at 5:10. Keegan Stevenson scored at 11:20 chasing Rangers' starting netminder Mario Culina from net. Culina had made 9 saves on 13 shots. Luke Richardson stopped five shots, allowing only McFadden's game winner.

Kole Sherwood and Joseph Garreffa put the Rangers to within a point in the first half of the third. Hawel scored his second of the game on an empty Rangers net to give the storm some insurance.

Game 5 is tomorrow night at the Aud in Kitchener. Puck drops at 7:30 p.m.
