Goderich Recreation Park To Be Renamed

Goderich residents are getting a chance to pick a new name for the Goderich Recreation Park.

Councillor Trevor Bazinet explains it was the enthusiasm of residents that helped win $250,000 from the Kraft-Heinz Project, so the committee felt the public should have a chance to name the renovated park.

"We don't wanna name it Goderich Recreation Park so we're getting the community involved. We're gonna have a little contest where there will be names they can pick from, but there will be also an opportunity for them to make their own name," commented Bazinet.

He says he would hope to have their names chosen with the next couple of months and he estimates by July they'll have a new name for the park.
