High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

You can expect partly cloudy in the morning, with rain in the afternoon

The condition of a young girl from Bognor, who was hit by a motorcycle late Tuesday afternoon, has been upgraded.
The 7-year-old girl is now reported to be in fair condition in hospital in London. She was airlifted to London late Tuesday after suffering serious injuries in the collision.
An OPP investigation determined that the girl ran out onto Grey Rd. 29 and was hit by a passing motorcycle.
The motorcycle driver, a 45-year-old man from Owen Sound, was treated for minor injuries and released from hospital.
Police say speed was not a factor, and no charges are expected.
