Horse Killed In Collision In Kincardine

One man has been charged after a horse-drawn corn planter was struck by a vehicle in Kincardine Township.

The Ontario Provincial Police say on Friday shortly before 8:45pm, the corn planter being drawn by two horses was rear-ended by a pick-up truck on Side Rd. 15 N.

The occupants of the corn planter were taken to hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

One of the horses was also killed in the crash.

As a result of the crash, the driver of the truck, a 63-year-old Kincardine man, has been charged with careless driving.
