Chesley Bridge Disappearing

The Chesley Main Street Bridge is just about gone.

Demolition started this week.

The bridge was damaged beyond repair in February after flooding. The demolition is being done by Watford-based Schouten Excavating. Bruce County accepted a tender of $264,000 for the work.

The goal is to have a new bridge in place by the end of the year.
