Trafficking Charges Laid Against Two Goderich Women

Two Goderich women are facing drug-related charges following a search warrant that was executed Wednesday at a residence on Nelson St. E.

Members of the Huron County OPP, the Emergency Response Unit, and the Huron-Perth OPP Community Street Crime Unit secured the scene.

Police seized methamphetamine, cocaine, cannabis resin, cannabis marijuana, heroin, and ecstasy. Police also seized drug trafficking paraphernalia.

33-year-old Carol Hakkers of Goderich and 45-year-old Rebecca Weitzel of Goderich are each facing trafficking and possession charges.

They have been released from custody with court appearances scheduled for July 9 in Goderich.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
