Lucknow Reunion Celebration Coming This Summer

It's going to be 'celebration time' in Lucknow this summer.

The Lucknow Reunion will take place on the July long weekend, and event coordinator Luke Smith says the event will kick off with a bang.

"We're going to start off on the Friday night with fireworks at the festival grounds, which is the main ball diamond by the arena. The next morning we will have our mammoth parade, which will also end up at the Festival Gardens but it will go all along the main street."

Other weekend events include dances, kids activities, a choir performance and much more. Smith says bringing people back to the town to celebrate the 160th anniversary will be special.

"That's exactly what we're hoping is that people that have any ties to the area come back, meet with family and friends, and just enjoy themselves and have a good time while they're doing that."
