Charity Golf Classic Supports New Equipment For Owen Sound Regional Hospital

The Owen Sound Regional Hospital Foundation is thanking the community and some golfers for the success of its latest fundraising effort.

The 27th Annual Charity Golf Classic at Legacy Ridge Golf & Country Club raised a grand total of $65,000. More than 30 local businesses provided sponsorships and prizes.

The money will support the purchase of 11 new anesthesia machines to outfit each of the operating rooms and MRI suite at Owen Sound Regional Hospital.

"What a fantastic day of golf in support of local health care," said Amy McKinnon, the executive director of OSRHF.   "I cannot thank the golfers, sponsors, volunteer event committee, led by Denise Reid, and volunteers for making the day happen."
