UPDATE: Stratford Man Killed In Collision In Perth East

A two-vehicle collision in Perth East Thursday night claimed the life of one man.

The crash involved an SUV and a farm tractor. It happened shortly after 10pm on Perth Line 34, between Stratford and Shakespeare.

The lone occupant of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene.  He has been identified as 37-year-old Chad Matheson of Stratford.

The driver of the tractor was not injured. An OPP Technical Collision Investigation Team assisted at the scene.

A section of Perth Line 34 was closed all night for the investigation.  It re-opened early Friday morning.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
