Thousands In Drugs Confiscated In Bust

Five people, from Mitchell, Stratford and Varna, face a combined 39 charges after a three-month drug investigation.

$155,000 worth of drugs were confiscated as a result of the investigation that included several police services.

The drugs included cocaine, marijuana, hash, mushrooms, shatter and MDMA.

Also seized, $40,000 Cdn and two vehicles along with drug packaging, scales and drug paraphernalia.

Police units from Stratford, Perth, Huron as well as Grey and Bruce were involved in the investigation.

Facing charges are Dan Fuller, 32, of Stratford, Amanda Meinen, 25, of Stratford, Charlene Ellens, 33, of Mitchell, Curtis Snell, 30, of Varna, and Marilyn Snell, 30, of Varna.

They have all been released from custody and scheduled to appear for provincial court in Stratford.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
