Paisley Central School To Remain Open Until At Least 2023

The Bluewater District School Board has announced it will keep Paisley Central School open for at least another five years.

The school was slated for closure in 2019 if certain conditions were not met.

The Municipality of Arran-Elderslie will rent out two rooms at the school, something Superintendent of Business Services and Treasurer Rob Cummings says will help with the school's operating deficit.

Cummings also notes a new capital funding program will help with fixing both the roof and some paving work needed at the building that was constructed in 1967.
