Auditor Pleased With Wellington North Finances

Wellington North got a good report from its auditor for the year 2017.

The annual report notes that Wellington North has been particularly fortunate in attracting provincial and federal funding.

The municipality completed about $5.5-million in capital projects in 2017 without depleting its reserves or taking on a lot of new long-term debt.

The auditor also pointed out that Wellington North is better than most in collecting taxes.

Mayor Andy Lennox says the strong financial position is a tribute to the dedication of municipal staff with the support of council.
