Huron County Looking At Broadband

Huron County is putting out a request for proposal for its broadband services.

Economic Development Director Cody Joudry explains the county has a number of connections for all of their buildings and it was felt there was a possibility to either improve service, or save money, by having all of those services delivered by one provider.

Joudry adds if there is no advantage to going to one provider for all of their services, at least they will have investigated the possibility.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
