Huron County Outlines Economic Partnership Role

Huron County's Economic Development Board has put together a new Partnership Guide.

Economic Development Director Cody Joudry explains the creation of the guide came about as the result of several requests for funding for various projects.

Joudry says they wanted to spell out exactly what the board's role is, and part of that is explaining that board was never meant to be a funding agency and does not have money available for funding purposes.

" I think for the board and staff and council it was helpful to articulate what it was the board thought their role was in terms of these requests and also to articulate for the public what that process looks like," he explained.

Joudry adds the board is interested in partnering in economic development initiatives or projects that will have an impact across the region.
