Lucknow Heats Up With 2018 Reunion

After years of planning, the 2018 Lucknow Reunion begins Friday.

In 1856, a dam and sawmill were built. And in 1858 the first lots were surveyed, the official start of the community.

Over the years Lucknow has been home to some notable names, such as Paul Henderson of Summit Series fame and Dave Farrish who helped Anaheim win the Stanley Cup in 2007 as an assistant coach.

But this weekend belongs to the community with events that include today's Lucknow Central Public School Reunion at 4:30pm and fireworks at dusk at the Caledonia Park Ball Diamond.

Volunteers have worked hard to prepare for the "mammoth" event, which is how organizers are describing Saturday's parade at 11am. And the Team Farmall Dancing Tractors will make an appearance at 1pm on Saturday outside the Festival Gardens.

It's the first of a few reunions this summer which also include Chepstow's Homecoming August 3 through August 6 and Kincardine's Reunion August 2 to August 6.
