Officers Unholster Weapons During Arrest Of Youth In Kincardine

South Bruce OPP were forced to display their firearms during an incident with an agitated male last night in Kincardine.

Officers responded to a report of a male walking and waving what appeared to be a handgun around 7:00pm Friday. Officers located the male near Queen & Broadway in Kincardine, describing him as "Extremly agitated".

During the course of the arrest, officers displayed their service firearms.

A male youth was eventually taken into custody. He cannot be identified under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

OPP note the investigation is in the early stages.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
