New Subdivision Planned For Clinton

Central Huron has received draft approval for a new subdivision at the north end of Clinton.

Mayor Jim Ginn says the subdivision is the extension of North St. and will be a combination of houses and townhouses. There will be 30 low-density residential lots and four residential high-density blocks.

The next step is the creation of detailed site plans and those detailed drawing will also have to be submitted to county council for approval.

Ginn says housing is very much in demand right now all over Huron County and houses are not staying on the market very long.

He adds part of the need for housing in Huron County is the expansion at the Bruce Power site, so any new housing at this time is good news for Huron.

Ginn says he's not sure whether construction will get underway this fall or early next spring.
