Charges Following Rollover Road Closure Near Arthur

Wellington County OPP has charged a motorist after a loaded tractor-trailer rollover in Wellington North Township.

On Monday at around 9:48am, police responded to the scene of a single-vehicle rollover at the intersection of Wellington Rd. 109 and Wellington Rd. 12.

The investigation revealed that the transport truck driver attempted to turn left onto Wellington Rd. 12 from Wellington Rd. 109 at which time the driver lost control and the tractor-trailer rolled over and struck a hydro pole. The driver was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Steven Sorozn, 20, of Mulmur Township, has been charged with careless driving contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial Offences Court on September 18, 2018.
