Goderich Tornado Hit On This Day In 2011

Tuesday is the seventh anniversary of the F3 tornado that tore into Goderich from Lake Huron, leaving one person dead and 37 injured.

The twister hit on a Sunday at 3:53pm and moved from the harbour, up the lake bank and east-southeast through town.

In just two minutes, it left a 1.5 km wide path of destruction, causing $100-million in damage.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
