Goderich Mine Workers Nearly All Back To Work

The National Union Representative for Unifor believes over 90% of the unionized workers at the Compass Minerals Mine in Goderich are back on the job following the strike that ended in mid-July.

Glenn Sonier says they have a memorandum of understanding that has to be finalized and proof-read by both parties before it gets signed. But he points out it's a legally-binding document and would hold up in court if tested.

According to Sonier, "I think there's a few trickling back but the majority of them are back to work. If they're not back now, I would presume by the end of the week."
