Drowning In Lake Huron Under Investigation

Huron County OPP are investigating a drowning that occurred in South Huron late Friday.

Shortly after after 6 p.m., members of the Huron County OPP, Lambton County OPP and Lambton EMS responded to an address on Bluewater Highway in the Municipality of South Huron following a call about a male in distress in Lake Huron.

The man was swimming with friends and family when he went underwater.   He was located in the lake and and pulled to shore, where efforts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful.

The man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

He's been identified as twenty-nine-year old Kane Rodricks of Mississauga.   A post-mortem is scheduled for Monday.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
