Grey Highlands Man Charged With Multiple Sex Offences

A 69-year-old man from Grey Highlands is facing multiple sex offences involving young people.

Grey County OPP opened an investigation two weeks ago into allegations of sexual offences committed on young people by an adult male.

As a result of that investigation, police arrested a 69-year-old man from Grey Highlands. He's charged with five counts of sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age, four counts of sexual interference, six counts of indecent exposure to a person under 16, and one count of sexual exploitation.

The accused was a foster parent who lived in the Caledon area before moving to Grey Highlands. It's not known if any other young people were victimized by the accused.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Grey County OPP or Crime Stoppers.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
