Mount Forest Man Arrested After Alleged Break And Enters

Wellington County OPP say a 27-year-old man faces several charges following an incident on August 29th.

Officers responded to calls of a man committing break and enters at homes near Egremont St. in Mount Forest.

Police say Raymond Cote of Mount Forest was arrested without incident, however Cote did require medical attention from EMS at the time of the arrest, as well as while in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

The Special Investigations Unit has invoked their mandate in the case. The SIU investigates police activity when someone has been seriously injured, alleges sexual assault or has died.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
