UPDATE: Missing Midland Woman Found Safe

UPDATE:    The missing woman was located by police and was found to be safe in the City of Barrie in the evening hours of September 3, 2018.   Family and investigators wish to thank those who assisted in this search. ====

Ontario Provincial Police are asking for help in finding a missing Midland woman.

OPP from the Southern Georgian Bay detachment say 25-year-old Mercedes Charlebois was last seen at her home in Midland on Friday morning. Police and family believe she may be in the Barrie area.

Charlebois is described as a white female, 5', 98 pounds with a slim build, blue eyes and dirty blonde long hair. She was wearing jeans, a pink and white shirt, and walks with a limp.

Family and police are concerned for her safety and would like to see her safely return home.

Anyone with information on Charlebois' whereabouts is urged to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
