Clinton Man Succumbs To Burn Injuries

A Clinton resident has succumbed to his injuries following an accident that took place at his home on Friday.

At around 6:29 p.m. Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Central Huron Fire Department and Huron County Paramedic Services responded to a residence on Ontario Street after learning a man had been injured while attempting to light an outdoor chiminea.

An investigation revealed the victim's gas can accidentally ignited and exploded causing life threatening injuries to the man.  He was rushed to a local hospital and was later airlifted to a hospital in Toronto.

The man later died in hospital on Saturday and has been identified as 66-year-old Brian Miller of Clinton.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
