Dungannon Community Alliance plans meeting

Residents of Dungannon and surrounding areas are being invited to a community meeting next week.

The newly-formed Dungannon Community Alliance and a working group of service providers are hosting the Community Dinner and Information Meeting. It's scheduled for Wednesday, September 12 at the Dungannon Ag Hall.

Results from a survey conducted for Dungannon and area, supported by Destination: Prosperity, will be shared at the meeting.

Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh Councillor Jennifer Miltenberg will be giving a presentation that she made at the AMO Conference in August.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Dinner is at 6 p.m. Donations will be accepted at the door for the meal, being prepared by the Dungannon United Church.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
