Details released surrounding large structure fire

More details have been released about a massive structure fire near Kincardine.

On September 5 at 3:05 a.m., Kincardine Fire Services responded to a large structure fire on Sideroad 10 in Kincardine. When firefighters arrived the structure, a large equipment shed was fully engulfed. The shed contained farm equipment and baled straw.

Additional support was provided by Tiverton Fire, Ripley-Huron Fire Department and Saugeen Shores Fire Department. Bruce County Paramedics, Hydro-One and OPP were also on scene.

Fire crews were on scene for 19 hours.

Damage is estimated at over $500,000 and as a result, the Ontario Fire Marshals Office is investigating the cause.

There were no injuries and no damage to surrounding buildings.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
