13-year-old leads Goderich Kidney Walk

A Brussels teen has taken his fundraising efforts to a new level.

Christopher Pennington has been leading the annual Goderich Kidney Walk since 2015 and has helped raise more than $30,000.

The walk Sunday raised more than $13,000, with donations still being counted.

The 13-year-old Pennington also organized an on-line auction leading up to the walk to help bolster the fundraising.

In July, Pennington was presented with the Meridian Good Neighbour Award at the Kincardine & District Chamber of Commerce 2018 Community Achievement Awards Gala.
