Owen Sound Georgian College students join Shinerama

Owen Sound Campus students will take part in Shinerama tomorrow, an annual fundraising event for Cystic Fibrosis Canada.

They will be shining shoes, cars, and “anything that can be shined” in return for donations at five different locations. This is the 37th year Georgian has been involved in Shinerama.

Students will be at the Vandolder Student Residence, Boston Pizza and Foodland for car wash activities.

Students will also head to Zehrs for a fundraising BBQ and then downtown for window washing activities.

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is the most common fatal genetic disease affecting Canadian children and young adults; at the present time, there is no cure. CF causes various effects on the body, but mainly affects the digestive system and lungs.
